General discussion. While I'm trying to Uninstall MS Office 97 from one of my client's Win95 computer it gives and error Setup Error then it list few lines and says object , ,etc There is a message below the error: Your setup file may be damaged. Share Flag.

Is this correct? Uninstalling Office 97 should not affect the Office installation which employs a different folder structure from the older version. Uninstalling does not affect your personal files. You may need to repair Office after uninstalling 97 to fix any registry anomalies relating to shared resources.

If you mean Office operating program files, then no, you should not lose both versions. As Graham has pointed out, the version specific stuff is located in a unique folder.

There is a little "shared code", but the uninstall process does not remove it.
