I have one PS2 with a Magic 3 Chip. I have PS2 games copied. Last edited: Jan 13, But you still require a flip top case for this method and the timing can be tricky. Only requires a flip top case. Make sure it is PSX comptiable as well, not all are. I think you can substitute the Game Shark with Action Reply, or similar. Anything with a valid boot table of equal or greater size than your backup copy.

A - Swap Magic discs, Game Shark, etc. The boot tables are pressed onto the discs and not copyable. Don't bother. With a flip top, just pop the top fast and swap the cd's. I'm sure there are plenty of other good programs that I don't know about. Trying to swap a moving disc and not hitting that tab can be tricky and could scratch your disc.

It's not like your going to use the system on it's side with a flip top anyway. Last edited by a moderator: Jan 13, Hoose84 , Jan 13, You must log in or sign up to reply here. Show Ignored Content. By far, the most reliable and quickest way to use copied of self burned PlayStation discs is to use the Tony Hacks method. This gets its name from the Tony Hawk pro skater 2 and 3 games, works by utilizing a buffer overflow exploit and unlike the above worked on every version of the PlayStation 1 series in both PAL and NTSC regions.

For this exploit to work, you need some special saved games from Tony Hawk pro skater 2 or 3 on a PlayStation memory card as well as a copy of the original Tony Hawk pro skater 2 or 3 game. The process works similarly to the swap disk method, but removes the need for any specific timing:. You can download Tony Hacks here. I'm Ali, and I'm very much a geek of the 80's.

I love all things involving comics, weird dice, low-resolution pixels, badly lipped synced action films with plasticine monsters, loud bright clothes that nobody should have worn, pop songs that nobody should have sung, and TV cartoon shows that For many, the Sony PlayStation was a revolutionary home console. It used games that were burnt onto compact discs rather than the cartridges like their competitor Nintendo had used.
